THE BASICS:
All repairs are done by our seasoned repair technicians at our shop in Carmel, and our average turn-around is 3-5 business days. You can add Extended Repair Coverage (ERC) to your rental to cover all repairs like broken strings or bridges, scratches, dents, soldering, broken or bent keys and springs, surface or body cracks, case repairs, and more. ERC does not cover: missing parts or accessories, missing instruments, gross negligence, abuse, or severe damage that’s beyond repair.
THE DETAILS:
NORMAL WEAR and TEAR repair service is included with every rental. These are normal maintenance repairs such as seating pads, spring and screw adjustments, replacing worn corks, peg fitting, bridge adjustment, lubricating sluggish valves or tuning slides, and fitting neck corks. Secondary repairs that do not affect the performance of the instrument, such as deterioration of finish, and minor dents or scratches, will be assessed and serviced at the discretion of R&D Music. The renter is responsible for the cost of repairs beyond “Normal Wear and Tear”, or choose to purchase Extended Repair Coverage (ERC) at the start of the rental term.
EXTENDED REPAIR COVERAGE (ERC): Optional service purchased at start of rental period, covering repairs that go beyond normal wear and tear. This includes repairs such as, but not limited to, soldering, scratch and dent removal, broken/bent keys or springs, surface or body cracks, broken strings, broken bridges, broken pegs, and instrument cases.
Extended Repair Coverage does not cover:
