Frequently Asked Questions about Repairs

Our repair shop stays busy handling jobs of all kinds for students, professionals, and school accounts. While we make it a priority to complete repairs in a timely manner, most instruments will need to be left for 2-5 business days. Extensive repairs or overhauls may take weeks. We do our best to accommodate special circumstances when possible.

How long will it take to repair my instrument?

We'll need to take a look at your instrument in order to give you an accurate time frame. You can drop off your instrument during regular business hours and we do our best to assess every new repair request within 1 business day. We'll contact you with a time frame and price estimate. Once we get your approval, we'll schedule the job and you'll get a call as soon as it's done.

Can I make a repair appointment?

In rare emergency cases, Rush Service may be available (additional $50 fee). In these cases, our techs will work beyond their regular business hours to complete your repair. Please note, some repairs are not possible to complete with Rush Service, and your instrument will still need to be assessed before we can schedule a Rush Service.

How much will it cost to repair?

Again, our techs will need to look at your instrument first. Once we've had a chance to asses your instrument, we'll provide you with a price quote. We won't begin work until we've gotten your approval. If you decide not to have the repair done, you can pick it up anytime for no charge.

Can I get a loaner while my instrument is being repaired?

Rental customers may be able to exchange a rental needing repair for another rental, subject to availability. There are no loaners available for privately owned instruments.
