Guitar Instructor: Dan Fleischman

Dan Fleischman (Classical, Acoustic and Electric Guitar) believes music is a great way to express one’s creativity. He has been playing guitar since middle school, and recently graduated Keene State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. While at Keene, Dan played in the Guitar Orchestra for four years, performing many classical and original works. He has a special interest in music composition and wrote several pieces that were performed in concert at Keene. His instrumental specialties include classical, acoustic and electric guitar in many styles: classical, rock, pop, romantic, rap, reggae, etc. He is dedicated to helping you learn the basic techniques or to polish the techniques you’ve already learned. Whether you’re a student age 6 or age 60 or anywhere in-between, if playing guitar speaks to you, Dan will help you confidently speak right back!

First piece of music that had a profound effect on me:
A composition of my very own. I had been taking a class where we learn about the instrumentation of concert bands, and orchestras. We also wrote smaller compositions that were performed by professional musicians. To hear a piece of my own music come to life and be recorded was an intense feeling I will never forget.
Music teacher who inspired me the most:
José Lezcano. He is a classical guitar virtuoso and it was an honor to be one of his students.
Favorite quote about music:
"Music Unlocks Self-expression, Intelligence, and Creativity" -anonymous
