A four week guitar class for kids, ages 8-11. These beginner classes are designed for a small group setting, to get kids started with the basics of guitar technique. The best way to explore a new interest!
Guitar Class 101: Ages 8-11
Children will be introduced to proper guitar technique and learn to play simple songs. This class starts from the beginning with learning about the parts of the guitar, string names, and basic fingering and strumming techniques then moves quickly to cover basic chords, reading chord grids and counting. For nylon or steel string acoustic or unamplified electric guitar. Each student will receive a free electronic tuner and instruction on how to use it at the very first class.
4 Week class + Tuner: $100
Monthly guitar rental available $25
Space limited to 8 students per class.
Supplies needed:
Acoustic guitar with nylon or steel strings, or electric guitar without amplifier, a strap, a pencil and picks.
Additional recommended supplies
a metronome, battery operated tuner and a guitar gig bag or case.
