Little Music Group (Ages 3-5)
Saturdays from 11:00-11:40am. Jan. 7 — Mar. 31, 2012 Rolling admission, start anytime.
$88 per 4 week session (Minimum enrollment 3 students, Maximum of 8)
Children will build a solid foundation in the musical concepts of melody, harmony, rhythm, expression, tempo, and form in this exciting class led by Nicolette Marino. Each class is designed to develop aural, cognitive, and motor skills through singing, listening, moving, reading, and playing simple instruments. Activities range from musical games, writing songs, and sing-and-play-a-longs. Instruments provided, but bringing your own is welcome. Ms. Marino is a certified NYS Music Educator with a master’s degree in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University.

Beginning Acoustic Guitar (Ages 10-14)
Tuesdays from 6:10-6:55pm. Jan. 10, 17, 24, 31 (Snow Make-up Date 2/7)
$110 per student. Guitar rentals available for $25/month.
This introductory class for kids ages 10-14 is designed to teach the fundamentals of guitar performance while also building a foundation in music theory. The class will cover identifying the main parts of the guitar, reading notes on the first three strings, counting common time, and playing basic chords to simple songs. Method book included. Guitar rentals available. A great way to explore an interest in playing guitar! Instructor: Patrick Lavery. Mr. Lavery holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Western Connecticut State University and has been teaching guitar in Putnam and Fairfield counties for over 20 years. Register by Jan. 6, 2012
